Small daily oil paintings, painted in a plein air impressionistic style on stretched canvas or canvas board created and posted regularly. 2012 update: After 6 years, the postings now include larger paintings along with the small works. My goal is to reach 1,000 paintings posted by the end of this year. 2013 update: The original goal was met and exceeded, from now on I will post paintings that are successful or might be of interest.
After my close call with the Mountain Lion a couple of weeks ago, I am not walking up these deserted trails anymore, at least not alone. But that doesn't mean that I can't PAINT them!
Hi Elio, Thanks and the location is great. I was in the Santa Clarita Valley on San Francisquito Canyon Road, north of Copper Hill several miles, just entering the National Forest area. There are several of these small canyons along the East side of the road. On the West side you will find the San Francisquito Riverbed, great for painting too. This whole valley is spectular to paint, the lighting of Tuscany, mixed in with sandy riverbeds and groves of ancient Oak trees. Laura
