Small daily oil paintings, painted in a plein air impressionistic style on stretched canvas or canvas board created and posted regularly. 2012 update: After 6 years, the postings now include larger paintings along with the small works. My goal is to reach 1,000 paintings posted by the end of this year. 2013 update: The original goal was met and exceeded, from now on I will post paintings that are successful or might be of interest.

"Ella" ©
No, I didn't meet any pigs in France, just lots of sheep and cows. At least up close and personal. Two different days cows got into my painting back pack that I had left too close to the fence. I really think they are quite curious. And they slurp when they drink, big time. Little Ella was painted on request and I enjoyed spending the day with her. Oil on panel, 8" X 10" sold

I subscribe to your blog, Laura and when I saw this little gal, I knew what you had been talking about today at lunch.
She's a cutie, all right!!! I have to tell you... I did see some pigs in Europe and they were not cute and pink!!!
Ella is a winner!
I am so glad you like her, I am not always sure with the animals. Thanks for the encouragment and the lovely gallery hopping day!
