"Trail Shadows" ©

Trail Shadows, completed. If you look at the previous post, you will see the birth and process of this painting. The colors of the sandy riverbed and shadow on the trail are what captivated me when I first saw this scene.

Oil on Canvas, 16" X 20"

on reserve for Segil Fine Art exhibit "California" or "By The Artists' Hand" exhibit in June.

This is a beautiful painting. I would like to travel down the sandy riverbed. The colors and textures are wonderful. I really enjoyed seeing the process in the other photos. I feel I could see the colors better with the painting on the easel with the black background. The light on the mountains and on the riverbed really are nice and evoke a mood to me of late afternoon, evening. great.

Thank you very much. I debated whether anyone would want to see the process or not. Your comments are so appreciated and inspiring.

I always love to see the process that artists go through to complete a painting or any piece of work. It is the next best thing to taking a workshop from the artist and we should all be greatful when an artist shares their knowledge. Not only is it a learning experience for me but it makes the viewer appreciate the effort the artist goes through. I check your blog often to see your work and always enjoy it so much.
