I promised artists to post this painting again after fixing the echoed shape in the sky that the original painting demonstrated. Look back a day or two to the first version of this piece. The smaller tree had a perfect halo of sky, then the larger tree had a perfect batch of leaves making an arch, following the shapes. I didn't see this until posting, which happens a lot. One of the many advantages of blogging. It would be fair to say I tweak 90% of the paintings after posting to this blog. It's another source of critique.

HI Marian, It looks like late next week we'll see some sun. I am giving a lecture on Sunday at the Valencia Library but Saturday morning is a SCAA paint out which you are welcome to attend. It's a new spot for us, Tesesa De Oro. Not sure of the spelling. It should be on the website. I'll put it on the Beauty Of California Painters Facebook. Maybe a bunch will come!
