Small daily oil paintings, painted in a plein air impressionistic style on stretched canvas or canvas board created and posted regularly. 2012 update: After 6 years, the postings now include larger paintings along with the small works. My goal is to reach 1,000 paintings posted by the end of this year. 2013 update: The original goal was met and exceeded, from now on I will post paintings that are successful or might be of interest.
Every time it snows up on the mountain I seem to be drawn to this subject. The clouds last evening were glorious yet so fleeting, any hope of painting them was via complete recall.
HI Ruth and Marian, in the last 20 years of living in this valley we have only had snow one time. The snow has fallen on all of the surrounding mountains, only a 20 minute drive. The Santa Clarita Valley is very different from the San Fernando Valley yet so close. Thanks for the comments, I will find more snow after the next storm. Keep cozy!
