Small daily oil paintings, painted in a plein air impressionistic style on stretched canvas or canvas board created and posted regularly. 2012 update: After 6 years, the postings now include larger paintings along with the small works. My goal is to reach 1,000 paintings posted by the end of this year. 2013 update: The original goal was met and exceeded, from now on I will post paintings that are successful or might be of interest.
A few days of heat, a few days of rain and all of nature seems confused. The golden leaves are hanging on and green grasses emerge as if spring has arrived.
Laura, really nice work, i especially like the light and shadow pattern that leads the eye through the painting~ great work my friend! The weather has been so strange in Australia as well, we have had our whole monthly rainfall in one day and it continues to be rainy forecast leading up to Christmas (which is our heat of Summer!)
I know the Franz Bischoff exhibit inspired me, along with the Clyde Aspevig exhibit. Thank goodness we have the chance to see these masterpieces in person. Georgiegirl, after a few days of 80 degrees, it's going to drop like a rock and rain is coming. Glad to know it's world wide. Thanks for looking at the blog. Paint On!
