"Afternoon Walk" ©

Time prevented an outing, sitting at my easel the idea of picking up the small brush to work on a 5" X 7" canvas felt dull. Quickly I grabbed a larger canvas and a huge brush. Excitement rushed in the door and off we went, "Afternoon Walk" is the result.

Hey Laura, lovely stuff. You must have found my blog through Daily Painters; I've found a motherlode of fine arts painters by visiting there. This is particularly lovely; I'm a big fan of 19th century landscapes, this is really evokative of it. The California landscapes looks like a mythical Arcadia. Best, C.

What a great painting!
Isn't it great when you rush outside to catch a moment and manage to dash off a really nice painting -it doesn't happen enough for me, but I keep trying anyway.

I always look forward to finding your lovely paintings at 'daily painters'. You are an inspiration to other artists who are searching for that particular spark that makes a painting come alive. Another lovely work !
