"Hoopers Creek" ©

This morning I finished "Hooper Creek", in a large studio format for one of the June shows. I may tweak a bit, after looking at the painting as I pass by, peeking out of the corner of my eye. I have to admit I do glance at the paintings as I go about my day, hoping to catch that one detail that would make the piece better.

Congratulations on your upcoming exhibitions at Segil Fine Art and Chasing Open Spaces. You must be using up that pricey oil paint quickly! Everything is looking superb, Laura -- I hate to pick out one painting and say "I really like ..." because they're all so delightful.

This is a very beautiful piece. I would love to walk beside that creek. It will stand out in your show.

This painting is lovely, almost has a sacred tone.

OK, it seems I am on to something. Now if I can paint 12 more with the same qualities I'll have a good show. Thank you, ladies for the great comments. Fayene if you are coming to Cambria bring your paints and we can sneak off together for a little plein air work. Laura
