Small daily oil paintings, painted in a plein air impressionistic style on stretched canvas or canvas board created and posted regularly. 2012 update: After 6 years, the postings now include larger paintings along with the small works. My goal is to reach 1,000 paintings posted by the end of this year. 2013 update: The original goal was met and exceeded, from now on I will post paintings that are successful or might be of interest.
After talking with you today I thought of Saint Francis of Assisi. The Patron Saint of all living things.
I looked him up on the internet and found many pieces of scripture which suggest that our dear animal friends are a part of God's plan for both here and now as well as afterward when salvation comes to all of God's creation.
Now I know neither of us are Catholic, but I have always liked Saint Francis of Assisi regardless of his religious background. I figure he must have been a good person to have cared so much for our furry friends and the earth itself.
So I say, Lucky will be with you always both in your hearts and your memories as well as the potentail (I like that I misspelled that word) to be a part of your very personnel heaven when that time comes.
Blessings and I am very sorry about Lucky. He was a wonderful dog.
What a beautiful portrait of a cherished member of your family. You captured his expression so perfectly. We'll be holding you close in our thoughts in the coming weeks. We're so sorry for your loss.
He looks happy and without cares or pain, and that's how I will remember him. Once again, I got this news too late to help, but I know how much you all loved Lucky Boy, and this tribute captures how much he loved you. I'm so sorry. love, Beth

Thank you ladies, it's tough. Every hour feels a little better but my family has lost a member that we love dearly.
