Small daily oil paintings, painted in a plein air impressionistic style on stretched canvas or canvas board created and posted regularly. 2012 update: After 6 years, the postings now include larger paintings along with the small works. My goal is to reach 1,000 paintings posted by the end of this year. 2013 update: The original goal was met and exceeded, from now on I will post paintings that are successful or might be of interest.
The storm clouds are heading to other lands, leaving behind puddles, dark bark and wet asphalt. New storms will march into the valley before February is past, giving our creek it's chance to run.
These are nice pieces, Laura. You're much better with color restraint than I am. I'd probably have pushed this one too far. Good work.
How I'd love some warmer weather and rain. Here in Denver they're talking about single digit high temps for the next few days and we still have a foot of snow on the ground from Christmas.
Thanks Don, I checked out your paintings and they are very strong, solid pieces. If I could I would send you a few degrees of warmth from L.A. This past month we are plein air painting, without having the paint freeze, all month long. Thanks again for the nice comments...Laura
