Small daily oil paintings, painted in a plein air impressionistic style on stretched canvas or canvas board created and posted regularly. 2012 update: After 6 years, the postings now include larger paintings along with the small works. My goal is to reach 1,000 paintings posted by the end of this year. 2013 update: The original goal was met and exceeded, from now on I will post paintings that are successful or might be of interest.
This view is near Filmore, out Highway 126. Houses are planned for this lovely land. In a few years this view will be history.
Oil on Canvas, 16" X 20" sold

This is such a lovely scene. It has a very Australian look - are the trees eucalyptus? It is such a shame it will all be developed into housing estates
Hi Kitty, The scene is in California and you are right, they are eucalyptus trees. A group of artists are painting all the areas that are "doomed" for housing. We are hoping to bring some awareness to the community. Thanks for looking and commenting, Laura
