"Rice Canyon" ©

Rice Canyon is part of the Santa Clarita Woodlands. Even though it's still winter the canyon is stunning. In spring it bring us to our knees with beauty. The photo is washed out on the right due to the size of the panel and wet paint, my apologies.

I have been inspired by your paintings for a few months now. I always was able to find them immediately upon scanning the daily painters gallery. I've added your blog to my favorites so I can continue to be inspired to paint better through viewing your gorgeous art.

You mentioned something about size, but didn't mention what that would be, ...

Thank you Maryanne, now if I could learn to push color as you do I would move forward. I appreciate the link very much.

Rene, You are so right, the panel is 12" X 16". I have a new digital camera that doesn't do so well late at night, compared to my old camera. When the painting is larger then 8" x 10" I can't seem to light the entire piece enough that some light doesn't catch on the wet paint creating shine. Unfortunately this translates to a knocked down value. I will have to work in a new system of photography. Thanks for looking and I'll check out the Netherlands to see what you are up to. Laura
